The Institute for Human Services, Inc. (IHS) is a non-profit advocate serving the Southern Tier. Our goal is to support our member organizations through:
• Capacity building, governance, and operations support
• Strategic collaboration & communication between member and non-member organizations
• Professional development and conferences aimed at organizational sustainability
• Coordination of programs and services that enhance the capacity for other organizations
The Institute for Human Services works together with our members, other non-profits, funders, government entities, and community leaders to create a network of collaboration and communication aimed at improving the quality of life in the Southern Tier. We believe that success is achievable when organizations are able to break out of their silos and are given the right tools to meet a common goal. Our focus is on the good of the community. We are a dynamic and responsive entity, able to provide the information and resources that are most needed in the community, both for organizations and individuals.
IHS provides services such as the 2-1-1 HELPLINE, Steuben Rural Health Network, Coordinated Transportation Services, Resource Development, and Lead Agency Services as a capacity building, information, and referral opportunity for our member organizations.
IHS is a 501(c)(3) local association that provides a united voice for the non-profit sector and serves as a unique support and information provider.
