Project Title Pat Tillman Foundation: Community Survey Methods
Project Topics Data Management Marketing
Skills & Expertise
Project Synopsis: Challenge/Opportunity
Conduct public opinion research and provide the company insight for making critical decisions impacting organizational planning or operations.
Project Synopsis: Activities/Actions Required
  • Understand the customer base (Tillman Scholar Community) - we have built a community of ~800 Tillman Scholars since 2009. We have members of all ages, across all geographies, and in different stages of life. For nearly all, we have demographic information and a biography from when they were first selected as a scholar.
  • Identify options for information collection: annual surveys via email or mail, SMS mini-surveys, communication to segments of the population each month...
  • Identify information thresholds: given the information collection method, how many questions can be asked and in what format?
  • Identify priority questions: what pieces of information are most relevant to understanding our community members
  • Develop a framework for pilot testing and implementation
Project Synopsis: Expected Results
A success for our organization would be a late 2022 or early 2023 implementation of a new survey/polling strategy. We would know this effort had a positive impact if we saw an increase in the response rate to whatever information collection method was selected.
