Details
Project Title Student UX Enhancement
Project Topics Data Management Entrepreneurship Product Design & Development
Skills & Expertise Data Analytics UX/UI Design
Project Synopsis: Challenge/Opportunity
We aim to have the students build upon the key priorities we've identified from past student groups, focusing specifically on enhancing the Platform Student UX. We encourage them to utilize their university networks and relationships to conduct in-depth customer research. This research should encompass diverse perspectives from fellow students, educators, and administrative staff. The goal is to gather comprehensive insights that reflect the needs and expectations of all user groups. Ultimately, we expect the students to synthesize their findings into a well-documented set of requirements and create low-fidelity design prototypes. These deliverables will provide a clear, actionable guide for our Design and Development teams to bring these enhancements to life in our platform.
Project Synopsis: Activities/Actions Required
  • Customer Research Workshops: Organize workshops where students engage with peers, educators, and administrators to gather feedback on the current Platform Student UX.
  • Survey and Feedback Collection: Develop and distribute surveys to a broader audience within the university to gain quantitative insights.
  • Focus Groups: Conduct focus group sessions with diverse groups (students from different faculties, educators, and administration staff) to understand varied perspectives.
  • UX Analysis Sessions: Run sessions where students analyze current UX setups and identify areas for improvement.
  • Idea Generation Workshops: Host brainstorming sessions for generating innovative ideas for UX improvement.
  • Prototyping and Low-Fidelity Design: Guide students in creating low-fidelity prototypes or wireframes based on the research findings.
  • Presentation and Report Writing: Prepare detailed reports and presentations to summarize research findings, proposed UX improvements, and low-fidelity designs.
Project Synopsis: Expected Results
  • Quality of Research and Insights: The depth and applicability of insights gathered from the customer research. Success can be measured by the relevance and thoroughness of the findings about the user experience of the platform.
  • Innovation in Proposals: The level of innovation and practicality in the proposed UX improvements. A successful outcome would include creative yet feasible recommendations for the platform.
  • The comprehensiveness of Requirements: The detail and clarity in the requirements document to be handed over to the Design and Development teams. Success would be a well-structured and actionable set of requirements.
  • Usability of Low-Fidelity Designs: The usability and alignment of low-fidelity designs with the research findings. Success can be measured by how well these designs address the identified UX issues.
  • Stakeholder Satisfaction: Feedback from educators, students, and administrative staff about the process and outcomes. A successful project would be well-received by these key stakeholders.
  • Alignment with Company Goals: How well the project aligns with CapSource’s broader objectives and contributes to the overall improvement of the educational platform.
