Project Synopsis: Challenge/Opportunity
This project is with the organization Cleaner Man, LLC. The corporate partner is Scott Rotman who possesses over 20 years of experience shepherding complex natural resource management and infrastructure development projects through the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) and other federal and state environmental regulatory processes throughout the United States, across widely divergent ecosystems. The mission of the company is to provide biodegradable cleansing wet wipes with a masculine fragrance, with a two-pronged marketing approach targeting both mature men and not-so-mature men, and their partners.

Company Philosophy and Vision:

We believe in cleanliness. We understand that cleanliness on the go requires portability and disposability. Because we are ecologically oriented, our disposable products are biodegradable but not flushable (despite claims to the contrary, there is no such thing as a flushable wipe).

Company Goals:

a.      Launch both Cleaner Man and Cleaner Wiener in both the single-pack and 30-pack formats, with accompanying marketing efforts, focusing on online, college campus, gym, hotel and airport markets.
b.      Expand offering to 80-pack formats for both brands within six months.
c.      Expand line to include additional skin-care products within one year.

Target Market:

a.      Cleaner Man – Mid-twenties and older straight and gay men who want convenient clean but don’t want to smell like perfume, and the cleanliness-appreciating partners of these men.
b.      Cleaner Wiener – Mid-twenties and younger straight and gay men who think the name and concept are funny, and then become regular users due to product utility.

Project Information:

The corporate partner has two goals for this Industry Capstone Program project team:

1. Determine if the venture is solid, i.e., based upon a truly marketable idea

2. Solidify a basis on which potential investors can gauge the likelihood of our success and therefore decide to invest (or not).

  • Internet Metrics (number of clicks, repeat clicks, preorders),
  • Internet functionality

The overall goal of this project is to have numbers indicating the likelihood of product success, along with a pathway to a optimally functioning website!
